Bob Lee Brown Chair |
Bob Brown resides in Kanawha County and is a National Representative for the American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO. He serves as Vice President of the West Virginia AFL-CIO, as a member of the West Virginia Workforce Investment Council, as a commissioner for the Malden Public Service District, and as a member of the Board of Directors of Point Lick Church. Brown is a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and was educated in Kanawha County public schools, West Virginia Institute of Technology, and West Virginia University.

Clarence
Pennington |
Clarence
(Butch) Pennington is a life long resident of Martinsburg (Berkeley County) and
is chief operation officer of several small businesses through out the county.
Mr. Pennington is president of the West Virginia Gasoline Dealers and the
Automotive Repair Industry. He is also chairman of the West Virginia Retailers
and Wholesalers Alcohol Beverage Committee. He has served on the Berkeley
County Planning Commission and chaired numerous civic and charitable
activities. He served in the West Virginia 167th Air National Guard Unit from
1968 to 1975 and has been active in local and state politics and has been
awarded the West Virginia State Democrat of the Year in 2002. Mr. Pennington
graduated from local schools and attended Shepherd University.

Gregory Smith |
Greg Smith is the current Director of Marketing and Public Affairs for Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. He owns B&G LLC, an outdoor advertising and real estate management corporation and also owns G&B Farms and manages farming, ranching, mineral and timber operations for properties near Williamstown. Educationally, Greg has a BA in Psychology from Southern Utah State University, a MBA from Central Michigan University and an MS in Integrated Marketing and Communications from West Virginia University. Prior to residing in West Virginia he served more than 22 years in the United States Air Force with his last assignment as Secretary of the Air Force Director of Public Affairs, Midwest Region. Greg Smith has been recognized nationally for his work in public relations and is the recipient of numerous military decorations to include the Airman's Medal, the highest peacetime military decoration for heroism. |

Dr. Stanley
Hopkins |
Dr.
Stanley Hopkins assumed the duties of Assistant State Superintendent of Schools
for the Division of Technical and Adult Education on July 1, 2001. Prior
to this appointment, he served 26 years in education as a teacher, state
administrator in Vocational-Technical Curriculum, Program Improvement and High
Schools That Work; and, as the Assistant Division Chief for Technical and Adult
Education for the past eleven years. Dr. Hopkins holds an undergraduate
degree in Agricultural Education from West Virginia University; his Master's
Degree in Vocational-Technical Education is from Marshall University; and his
Ph.D. is from Ohio State University in Vocational-Technical Education and
Educational Administration.

John M. Panza,
L.P.C. |
Mr. John Panza lives in Fairmont and owns Panza Vocational Consulting Services. He offers training seminars, symposiums and workshops. Mr. Panza diligently served the state and community for over fifty years. During his career he was Director for the WV Division of Rehabilitation Services from 1988-1994, District II Supervisor and was named State and National Counselor of the Year in 1965. He is a Fellow to the American Board of Vocational experts, holds many professional memberships and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Awards include being selected Distinguished West Virginian Award by two Governors and Distinguished Service Awards from five associations. John serves on numerous community advisory committees and boards. Mr. Panza holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Fairmont State College and a Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance from WV University. He has post graduate studies from the University of Oklahoma and doctoral studies from WV University. |

Jerry Berry |
Jerry Berry is a native of
Summers County and is serving his second term as County
Commissioner. Jerry is an entrepreneur having started
several successful businesses in North Carolina and West
Virginia. He is very community minded and serves as the
Governor's Chairman of the West Virginia WorkForce
Investment Council, Chief Local Elected Official of
Region 1 WorkForce West Virginia Investment Board, and
President of Community Action of Southeastern West
Virginia Board. Jerry also serves on the boards of many
other organizations which provide Healthcare, Travel &
Hospitality, Planning & Infrastructure, Technology and
Emergency Services in the New River Gorge region.

Kelley Goes |
Kelley Goes serves as Cabinet Secretary for the West Virginia Department of Commerce and is also the Executive Director of the West Virginia Development Office. She grew up in Braxton County, graduating from Braxton County High School in 1987. She attended Vanderbilt University. After graduating from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1995, she practiced law with private firms for seven years focusing primarily on intellectual property and business litigation. In 2002 Ms. Goes joined the West Virginia Attorney General's Office as Assistant Attorney General. She mainly served as chief legal counsel to three state agencies with combined personnel in excess of 1000 employees. She joined the Department of Commerce on July 1, 2006, as Deputy Secretary and General Counsel. Ms. Goes is married and resides in Scott Depot with her husband and two children. |

Ralph Kelly |
Ralph Kelly, from Summersville is retired from the Four-County Economic Development Authority in Summersville. Along with many responsibilities, Mr. Kelly brought in $2 million of new business to the area. He previously served as Senior Army Instructor for the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) at Nicholas County High School. Through the 1990's Mr. Kelly was a financial planning advisor, manager and analyst in the Washington D.C. area. Colonel of Infantry and Financial Management, Mr. Kelly served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1994. Mr. Kelly holds a B.S. in Education and History from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan; a M.S. in Business Administration from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri and a M.S. in International Studies and Strategic Analysis from Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. |

Mary G. McKinley |
Mary G. McKinley, who resides in Wheeling, WV, is currently a partner in Critical Connections, a firm dedicated to best practices in healthcare through educational presentations and consultation. She works as a staff nurse in critical care maintaining her certification as a critical care nurse (CCRN) since 1985. McKinley holds a nursing diploma from the Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing, a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Wheeling College and a master's degree in nursing from West Virginia University. She joined the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) in 1985 where she has served nationally on committees for Membership, Awards and Recognition, Nominating, Ethics, Advanced Practice, and Leadership Development. In 1996 McKinley was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for AACN. She served as President of AACN from 1998 to 1999. McKinley is widely published in critical care and nursing. She is a frequent speaker at the National Teaching Institute for Critical Care as well as other forums nationally, regionally and locally. |

Nelson B. Robinson, Jr., of Charleston, is currently President of Compensation
Strategies, Inc., Executive Director of the West Virginia Chiropractic Society,
and Governmental Relations/Lobbyist. Previously, he was appointed by
former Governor Arch Moore as Commissioner of the WV Workers' Compensation Fund
from July 1986 until January 1989. Prior to his appointment, he held
several positions within the Governor's administration and also served as a
member of the WV Public Employees Insurance Board. A former resident of
Shepherdstown, Mr. Robinson, was a self-employed businessman in the Eastern
Panhandle. He served in the United States Navy from 1971-1978, from which
he was Honorably Discharged. He attended Shepherd University and the
University of Charleston.

Gregory F. Wooten |
Greg Wooten, a resident of
Logan County, is Vice President and Regional Manager for
NRP (Operating) LLC. Mr. Wooten was elected to two (2)
terms to the Logan County School Board, serving as its
president. He was also appointed by the Governor as a
board member to the Council for Community and Economic
Development. Mr. Wooten serves on various boards
throughout Logan County, including the Logan County
Chamber of Commerce, Hatfield McCoy Trail Authority and
the Chief Logan Recreation Center, Inc. Mr. Wooten holds
a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the
University of Kentucky. |
